Sarah has been passionate about horses all her life, starting with hiring riding school horses when she could to go hunting and compete at show jumping/ showing, anything she could get a lift too!

From here Sarah went to Hartpury College to study a National Diploma in Horse Management, where she was put in charge of looking after staff horses as well as developing her riding skill and overall knowledge of anatomy.  Sarah soon starting to compete at British Eventing with her horse at the time Lady, where she got the Bug!! Sarah graduated from Hartpury in 2004,being awarded the Best practical worker award, for all her dedication and attention to detail with the horses.

In the May of 2004 after leaving Hartpury Sarah moved to Henley on Thames to become a working pupil at a Giles Carradine’s event yard.  Here she developed her competition skills further and thrived on the buzz of eventing.  Whilst working for Giles,  Sarah enrolled at Berkshire College of Agriculture to do a degree in Equine Sports performance.  This degree furthered Sarah’s knowledge on horse anatomy as well as a detailed look into gait analysis of horses and reasons for poor performance as well as how to enhance performance.  In 2007 Sarah Graduated from BCA with a 1st class BA(hons) in Equine Sports Performance.

In October 2007 Sarah took the position at a leading tack shop in Henley where she advised customers on sales as well as developing her degree further working with the feed manufactures into the nutritional values on their feeds.

In 2009 Sarah become a veterinary nurse in Worcestershire, where she furthered her skills in emergency veterinary care.  During her role here, she was able to assist in all areas of the clinic, from diagnosis, x-raying, scanning, lameness work ups, as well as assisting during surgical cases.  During her time here Sarah thrived on learning and the ability to aid in recovery of the horses that were brought to the clinic.  Whilst being at the clinic there were some rehabilitation cases brought in that Sarah took a keen interest in, and  enjoyed helping them on their road to recovery, whilst working closely with the veterinary surgeons to bring them back into work safely.

In 2010 Sarah left the clinic to allow her to train as an Equine Sports Massage Therapists, as her time through doing her degree and veterinary nursing allowed her to be sure that the career she would excel in was to work with horses to enhance performance, as well as helping the rehabilitation of horses.    Throughout the last few years Sarah has also been training her own event horse from 4yr old to novice level, and is keen and passionate to keep eventing at these levels and beyond.

2012 sees Sarah starting the year with a new promising young horse who she hopes to be out eventing on through the season.
